Frequently Asked Questions

Question: I don't know or have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
Answer: You can request a password reset by visiting this page.

Question: My recommendation status is "Pending". What does that mean?
Answer: When requesting an external recommendation, the task will show as "Pending" before the recommender has submitted their recommendation. The task will be marked "Completed" when the recommender has submitted their recommendation.

Question: The dates/times associated with my submitted material seem to be a few hours off. Why is this?
Answer: This happens when we are unaware of your local timezone. Please set your timezone in your account settings page.

Question:  How can I verify my school’s accreditation? (For Academic Scholarship applications ONLY)
Answer: A copy of your school’s accreditation information from the course catalog or the website is acceptable. {see sample}

Question:  How can I verify my school’s tuition? (For Academic Scholarship applications ONLY)
Answer: A copy of your school’s tuition information from the course catalog or the website is acceptable. {see sample}

Question:  I don’t know how to convert my files to a PDF?
Answer: If you do not have personal access to a scanner, many office service centers and public libraries may provide you access to one. Click this link to learn how you can save a document as a PDF file.

Question:  Two letters of reference are required to completely submit my application.  Why do I only see a request for one recommender? (For Academic Scholarships ONLY)
Answer:  You must complete all required fields in your application form in order for the second recommender request to appear. 

Question:  Can I have my references submit letters of recommendation directly to you?
Answer: No, letters of reference must be submitted with all other supporting documentation as it is a part of the application process.


Question:  What is your address for my institution to send my official transcript? (For Academic Scholarships ONLY)
Answer: Have your official transcript mailed to you and scan the official copy and attach with all other supporting documents. {see sample}

Question:  Can I send in additional documentation or information that will strengthen my application?
Answer: If you have additional documents attach, please select the "Additional Attachments" button on the right hand side ot upload them. 


Question:  Are screenshots of my supporting documents acceptable to upload?
Answer: It is highly recommended that screenshots of your documents are not uploaded as it is difficult for the reviewers to read.  This may disqualify your application.


Question:  My application status is "Prerequisites not Met".  What does that mean?
Answer:  Your application still needs to be submitted.  Please click on the "submit your "ENA Foundation Grant Application" button located on the bottom left hand side to submit.

Question:  When will scholarship recipients be notified?
Answer: Scholarship recipients will be notified after August 1, 2019 by email. Seed Grant recipients will be notified after December 1, 2019.
